Hi! I wanted to point out something to you.

In your journal, you've posted this:

• Paypal only; prices in USD. Always pay the Paypal fee. If it comes out of my pocket, I will refuse service to you for another commission.

I've always gotten confused on what that meant. I googled it up later. I've never sold things with paypal, only bought. For the longest time, I didn't know what these paypal fees were. The thing is, paypal fees are only issued to the seller. Customers have no idea what the fee is or how much it is. If you want them to pay the fee, I would just charge them slightly more from the start, so that, essentially, you get your money back.

Actually, I have no clue how to calculate the fee, either! I've tried my best to understand what makes the fee the way it is, but to no avail.

Another commissioner of mine told me that if you choose the "send payment as a gift" option, there's never a fee. I'm not sure how true that is, so that's why I don't advertise it!

Actually, I'm pretty sure when you pay somebody, it tells you? From my experience buying from others, it's a small check mark at the very end, right above "pay seller", I believe. It's been a while since I've bought from others via Paypal, but I'm pretty sure that's what it is! If you check it, it'll tell you "$0.30" or something, under the original payment you're sending!

@___@ But yeah! So far the only thing I've heard is click the "send as gift" option to avoid any fees! Of course, to commissioners that can be a scary commitment, I don't think you can fight to get that back if the artist up and leaves or something!

I've bought a few commissions, and I don't ever recall this check mark you're talking about. Perhaps I've just overlooked it. x_x
